Rancho Santa Fe, CA—The UC Riverside Men's Golf Team finished fifth place at The Farms Invitational hosted by the University of San Diego, Tuesday.
Brandon Tsujimoto finished in second place with a 54 hole total of 213, one stroke back of first place.
TOURNAMENT NOTES
Brandon Tsujimoto led the Highlanders and tied second overall with a score of 73-70-70=213, charting a career best overall tournament finish. His previous best finish was seventh, which he achieved as a freshman at the OGIO UCSB Intercollegiate in 2014
(Recap). Tsujimoto also tied his career best three-round score of 213, which he first charted earlier this season at the Bill Cullum Intercollegiate, Oct. 15-17

Tsujimoto's best holes were the Par 4's, tying fourth overall (E), and fifth overall on Par 5's (-4). He tied seventh in overall pars, shooting 34 over the course's 54 holes.
Tyler Moore and Tsujimoto led the Highlanders on the Par 3's, tying ninth overall at +1. Moore led the Highlanders in birdies with 13, one more than Tsujimoto with 12. Moore tied for third most birdies shot during the tournament.
Andrew Spilman and
Tyler Moore were among the 18 golfers to shoot an eagle during the tournament, with one each.
Andrew Spilman shot 32 pars and
Michael Wong 30 during the two-day tournament.
The Highlanders had their second best finish of the 2017-18 season (5th), second only to their fourth place finish at the Colorardo Invitiational Sept. 25-26

UCR's best holes were the Par 5's, which they were third best at -9. They came in fourth on the Par 4's at +28.
UC Riverside was also third best in the amount of birdies they shot as a team, 47 altogether.
