UCR Soccer Stadium

The UC Riverside Men’s and Women’s Soccer teams play their home matches at the UC Riverside Soccer Stadium.

Home to UC Riverside men's and women's soccer, the UC Riverside Soccer Stadium seats 878 people along the western sideline opposite the team benches and there is room for an additional 278 persons on the grass on either side of the stadium seating.

The field was renovated in the summer of 2007 with a new “Tiger Turf” field installed. On August 28, 2007 UC Riverside officially dedicated the new field.

The new artificial surface allows both the men’s and women’s soccer teams to practice and play on the same field all season long. Unlike a grass field, the TigerTurf surface needs no rest between competitions.

A state-of-the-art scoreboard was added to the facility in the spring of 2008. In addition, improvements to the lighting enabled both men’s and women’s soccer programs to host night matches.

The first night match for the women’s team came Friday, September 5, 2008 against Sacramento State while the men’s first night match was Thursday, October 2, 2008 against Houston Baptist.

New turf was laid down in the summer of 2011.

The following summer, the Highlanders added new windscreens to the fencing around the stadium, team rooms in the South end zone and shelters over the team benches. Misters were added for those 100-degree days, which the Inland Empire is known.
