UC Riverside to play 10 home matches in Dibbini’s second year
RIVERSIDE, Calif. - UC Riverside women's soccer head coach Mike Dibbini has announced the program's 18-match schedule for his second year at the program's helm.
UCR will play 10 matches at UC Riverside Soccer Stadium this fall for the fourth time in the last five years after just seven last season.
The Highlanders will host exhibitions against Trinity Western (August 4) and Arizona Western (August 9) before opening the regular season campaign on August 12 against Northern Arizona. UCR's first meeting against the Lumberjacks since 2014 will precede trips to Oral Roberts (August 20) and Kansas City (August 23).
UCR's non-conference schedule rounds out with three of its final matches at home against Utah Tech (August 27), North Dakota (September 6), and Northern Colorado (September 17). UC Riverside makes the short trip to LMU on September 3.
Big West play gets underway on September 23 at Cal State Fullerton. UCR then hosts conference newcomer and Crosstown Showdown foe California Baptist in the September 26 conference home opener.
The Highlanders end their first full week of conference play at another conference newcomer, Sacramento State, on September 30.
UCR will host UC Irvine (October 3), UC San Diego (October 10), CSUN (October 21), Cal Poly (October 28), and UC Santa Barbara (October 31) for its remaining home slate. The Highlanders will visit Cal State Bakersfield (October 14), Utah Valley (October 17), and Long Beach State (October 24) to finish off the regular season.
