Women's Tennis Opens Season with 6-1 Loss at SDSU

(San Diego, CA) - The UC Riverside Women's Tennis team (0-1) opened up the 2009 season with a 6-1 loss to San Diego State University on Saturday afternoon in San Diego, CA.
After a rain delay, the Highlanders took to the courts but could only garner one victory as Erynne Oki (Valley Village, CA) defeated Julia Trunk 6-4, 6-1 at the No. 1 singles position.
UCR returns to action on Tuesday, Feb. 3 as they take on Cal Poly Pomona in a 2:00 pm matchup at the UCR Student Recreation Center Tennis Complex.
