Gauchos Defeat UCR Men's Tennis 6-1 To Open Conference Play

Riverside, CA - The UC Riverside men's tennis team (3-3, 0-1) opened Big West Conference play on Saturday morning, but dropped a 6-1 decision to UC Santa Barbara at the SRC Tennis Complex.
The Highlander duo of Austin Andres and John Park earned an 8-6 win at No. 2 doubles, but the Gauchos won the other two matches to claim the doubles point..
In singles play, Quoc Doan (pictured) earned the lone point for UCR as he defeated Philip Therp 6-2, 6-2 at the second spot.
The Highlanders return to the courts to host Nevada at 2:00 pm on Friday, Feb. 19 at the SRC Tennis Complex in Riverside.
