Pacific Blanks Women's Tennis 7-0 In Conference Play

Riverside, CA - The UC Riverside women's tennis team (2-5, 0-2) returned to Big West action on Sunday morning against the University of Pacific, but the Tigers got the best of the Highlanders with a 7-0 blanking.

At No. 2 doubles, the Highlander duo of Donna McCullough (pictured) and Nadia Sakahkorn defeated the Tiger's Hansen/Irvin 8-6, but it wasn't enough as Pacific won the other two doubles matches to earn the first point of the afternoon.

In singles play, Pacific swept across the board to earn the win. Angelique Corpuz' match at No. 5 was the only one that went into the third set as she lost to Katyrena Nezhura 1-6, 6-3, (10-5).

The Highlanders continue conference play with a road contest at UC Irvine on Friday, March 5 at 1:30 pm.
