Men's Tennis Wins Third Straight Match After 4-3 Win Over So. Miss

Las Vegas, NV - The UC Riverside men's tennis team opened the weekend with a 4-3 victory over Southern Mississippi on Friday morning at the Frank and Vicki Fertitta Tennis Complex on the campus of UNLV.
The Highlanders improve to 3-1 on the season, including winning their last three straight — the longest streak since the team won six in a row back in the 2006-07 season.
UCR won in come-from-behind fashion as they dropped the doubles point but rallied for four singles victories.
Quoc Doan, Felix Macherez (pictured), Austin Andres, and Freddy Quintos at Nos. 2-5 defeated their opponents to garner the four points needed for the win, with Macherez' three-set match at No. 3 the deciding point.
The Highlanders play UNLV on Saturday, Feb. 6 at 9:00 am.
