Andres And Macherez Win Doubles Match But UCR Falls To Pacific 7-0

Riverside, CA - The UC Riverside men's tennis team returned to Big West Conference action on Saturday with a 7-0 loss to Pacific at the SRC Tennis Courts.
In doubles action, the Highlanders duo of Austin Andres and Felix Macherez defeated Pacific's Dugan and Thomson 9-8 at No. 2. Both of UCR's other doubles matches went in favor of the Tigers in identical 8-3 scores, giving UOP the first point of the match.
In singles play, Macherez was in the thick of it again but could not prevail as he lost a tight 7-5, 7-6 battle at No. 2.
The Tigers went on to sweep the rest of the singles matches as they concluded with a 7-0 win.
The Highlanders conclude their home schedule on Sunday, April 17 with a noon match against UC Davis at the SRC Tennis Courts in Riverside.
