Long Beach, CA—The UC Riverside Women’s Basketball Team embarks on its first road trip in Big West Conference play this season, traveling to Long Beach State on Thursday, January 17 for a 7 pm PT tip at the Pyramid.
The Highlanders are 0-3 in league play, most recently dropping a 54-49 decision to Cal State Fullerton on January 12 (box score/recap). Tre'Shonti Nottingham and Brittany Crain account for more than half of UCR's scoring on the season, as the duo average 19.4 and 14.2 ppg respectively.
After winning its first two league games of the year, Long Beach State has fallen in its last pair, bringing its record to 9-7 overall, 2-2 in Big West play. Alex Sanchez and Bianka Balthazar average double-digit scoring for the 49ers with 11.4 and 10.2 ppg respectively.
UC Riverside owns the all-time series mark against The Beach, 16-12, including winning three of the last four meetings. View all-time results.
