Big West Play Continues For Women's Basketball Saturday Against Hawai'i At 5 PM PT

Riverside—The UC Riverside Women’s Basketball Team looks to pick up its first win in Big West Conference play on Saturday, January 5, facing off against the league’s newest member, Hawai’i, for a 5 pm PT tip at the SRC Arena.
The Highlanders dropped their conference opener to Cal State Northridge, 65-49 on Thursday (box score/recap), marking the fourth season in a row UCR has gone winless to open league play.
UC Riverside boasts three active players scoring in double-figures, led by Tre’Shonti Nottingham’s 20.3 points, Brittany Crain’s 14.5, and Natasha Hadley’s 10.3.
Hawai’i likewise lost its Big West opener on Thursday, falling 83-74 at Cal State Fullerton. Kamilah Martin paces the Wahine offensively, averaging 15.8 points and 9.9 rebounds a game.
