Women's Golf Tied For Fifth After Two Rounds Of Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate

Palm Desert - The UC Riverside Women's Golf Team returned to the links Saturday with two rounds at the Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate, tying for fifth out of 20 squads with one round remaining. The Highlanders shot 308-303 and are tied with fellow Big West foe Hawai'i in fifth place with a 611.
Western Carolina paces the field with a 601 two-round score followed by Cal State Fullerton and San Francisco with identical 604 totals.
Isabelle Shee is the Highlanders top scorer, tied for 10th with rounds of 75-74 (149). Savannah Vilaubi is just two strokes behind tied for 15th with a 151 (74-77).
Haley Wian fired scores of 79-75 (154) to tie for 27th place while Brittani Ferraro is tied for 58th with a 159 (82-77), and Paris Griffith is tied for 74th with scores of 80-82 (162).
Cal Poly's Taylor Yoshitake and Cal State Northridge's Clariss Guce are the individual leaders tied at one-under-par 143.
The tournament concludes Sunday morning with a final 18-hole round.
