New Mexico State Earns 4-0 Victory Over Men's Tennis

Las Vegas, NV—The UC Riverside Men's Tennis Team lost a 4-0 decision to New Mexico State Friday morning, the Highlanders first match in a three-match weekend in Sin City.
NMSU took the doubles point with identical 8-2 victories at one and three. In singles, the Aggies won in straight sets at numbers 3-5, securing the required points necessary for the win. Due to playing in a tournament format, the match ended once the four points were won.
"We had a real opportunity today," Head Coach Tim Downey stated. "We are close to breaking through and showing our depth. The players want to succeed and we are constantly improving."
The Highlanders now prepare to take on Southern Mississippi on Satuday, February 2 at 10 am.
