San Diego, CA - The UC Riverside Softball Team faced its third ranked opponent in as many games Sunday morning at the Campbell/Cartier Classic, losing 8-0 in five innings to No. 18 Washington.
The Highlanders (2-6) were one-hit against the Huskies (6-5) and allowed five runs to score in the second inning, one in the third, and two in the fourth.
Dionne Anderson picked up the lone hit for UCR in the fifth inning--the Highlanders only base runner all day.
UC Riverside concludes the Campbell/Cartier Classic Sunday afternoon with a game against San Diego State.
