Tucson, AZ - Alyssa Razo had a perfect-game through five innings and tossed her second shutout of the weekend Saturday morning for the UC Riverside Softball Team in a 2-0 victory over Boston University in the third game of the Wildcat Invitational.
The Highlanders had opportunites to score early but left five runners on base through the first three innings.
In the fourth, though, back-to-back errors and a walk by the Terriers loaded the bases for the UCR. After one out, a fielder's choice by Dionne Anderson allowed two baserunners to score, putting the Highlanders on top, 2-0.
Boston finally hit Razo in the sixth with a single, and in the seventh they added two more hits. But both times UCR got out of the innings unscathed to hold on for the win.
Next up for UC Riverside is a noon game against Portland State on Saturday in the Wildcat Invitational.
