Kat Saltarelli Picks Up Singles Win For Women's Tennis In 6-1 Loss To Titans

Fullerton, CA - The UC Riverside Women's Tennis Team concluded the Big West Conference portion of its schedule Thursday afternoon with a 6-1 loss to Cal State Fullerton.
The Titans eeked out the doubles point by winning two of the three matches. UCR's number one duo of Jamie and Taylor Raney defeated Tiffany Mai and Monica Rodriguez 8-3, but CSF earned identical 8-2 wins at numbers two and three.
In singles, Kat Saltarelli picked up a 6-4, 6-1 victory over Kalika Slevcove to give the Highlanders their first point of the match. Cal State Fullerton won in straight sets in the other five matches, however, to take home the victory.
UC Riverside now preps for the 2013 Big West Conference Championship starting on April 25 at Indian Wells Tennis Garden in Indian Wells, CA.
