Riverside—The UC Riverside Women's Basketball Team says aloha to the University of Hawai'i this Saturday, January 18, hosting the Rainbow Wahine live on ESPN3 for 5 pm PT tip in Big West Conference action at the SRC Arena.
The Highlanders are in search of their first league win of the 2013-14 season, having dropped their first three contests to Cal State Fullerton, UC Irvine, and UC Davis.
In those three league games, UCR is averaging 74.3 ppg on 50 percent shooting, but is giving up 83.0 ppg in return. Brittany Crain continues to lead the blue and gold's offense, scoring 19.6 points per game overall, and 22.3 ppg in conference action.
Hawai'i is 1-1 in Big West play following an overtime loss to Cal Poly, and a 10-point victory over Cal State Northridge. Following a 3-1 start to the 2013-14 season, the 'Bows have gone 4-6 since. Kamilah Jackson paces the UH offense scoring 16.1 points and grabbing 10.1 rebounds per game.
Saturday's game is just the fourth all-time meeting between these clubs, with Hawai'i earning the victory in each of the prior three (view all-time results).
