Riverside, CA - The UC Riverside Women's Basketball Team used a second half comeback to defeat California Baptist University, 88-78, Saturday afternoon in an exhibition game at the SRC Arena. Box Score.

Five members of the Highlanders scored in double-figures led by Brittany Crain's 21 points. Annelise Ito added 18 while Michelle Curry had 15, Dynese Adams chipped in with 12, and Jaelyn Wilson had 10. Kamille Diaz and Courtney Nelson each scored 15 points to lead CBU.

The Lancers led 43-37 at the half, and opened up their largest margin, a 13-point lead, seven minutes into the second half. The Highlanders countered, using a 19-3 run over the next seven minutes and change to go up 71-69.

After trading buckets, UCR never looked back, and closed out the game on a 4-0 run.

The Highlanders continue their preseason schedule with a Saturday, November 8 exhibition game against Cal Poly Pomona at 2 pm PT at the SRC Arena in Riverside.
