Cal Poly Defeats Men's Tennis, 7-0

Riverside—The UC Riverside Men's Tennis Team played its second Big West match of the season Saturday afternoon, falling 7-0 to Cal Poly.
The Mustangs won the doubles point by the slimmest of margins, winning 8-7 in both the first and third spots.
In singles, CP took straight sets victories in five of the matches. Marcus Vizcarra rallied back from a 6-4 first-set loss to win 6-1 in the second before falling 7-6 in the third.
"The team played Cal Poly very tough," Head Coach Tim Downey stated. "They are a solid team but we were competitive; another great effort for us."
The Highlanders now prepare for a March 4 contest against the College of Charleston at 12 pm PT at Andulka Park in Riverside.
