Riverside—UC Riverside Men's Track and Field athlete Ted Hooper is in his senior season with the blue and gold, and we here at gohighlanders.com got to know him a little better this spring via our Highlander Highlights series.

   ... is a senior from Arcadia, CA
      ... participates in the long jump
         ... is majoring in business administration
             ... can speak Mandarin Chinese
               ... favorite quote: "You are never too old to set another goal or dream a new dream"
                    ... has a phobia of deep water
                     ... lived in Taiwan for a year and a half
If Ted could witness any event, he would want to witness the day man lands on mars.
He believes the secret to a great life is to live in the present and do what you enjoy.
Ted has six brothers and sister between the ages of 12 and 36.
His greatest achievement so far has been being an inspiration to others.
Ted's motto in life is: Always strive to achieve something.
