Men's Golf 12th At Wyoming Cowboy Classic After First Day

Scottsdale, AZ - The UC Riverside Men's Golf Team shot 286-295 for a 581 two-round total Monday at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic, placing 12th out of 21 teams with one round to go. Complete Results.
Sam Gillis was the Highlanders low scorer on the day, firing identical rounds of 71 for a 142 total to tie for 21st place, while David Gazzolo (71-74) and Pachara Sakulyong (70-75) are three strokes back with 145's to tie for 42nd.
Brandon Tsujimoto shot 74-77 (151) to tie for 79th while Ryan Smith rounded out the team in a tie for 88th with 77-75 (152).
UC Riverside is just five strokes behind 11th-place UTSA, and is within 10 shots of sixth.
No. 11 Oklahoma leads the team field with a 560 score followed by No. 39 BYU (561) and Colorado (561) in a tie for second.
Gonzaga's Sean Walsh is the individual leader at seven-under-par 133.
The third and final round of the Wyoming Cowboy Classic gets underway with a shotgun start at 7:30 am PT Tuesday.
