Brittany Crain Scores 22 Points As Highlanders Fall To CSUN, 88-70

Riverside- The UC Riverside Women's Basketball Team moves to an even 7-7 in the conference after falling to CSUN Saturday, 88-70.
The Highlanders were led Brittany Crain, the fifth leading scorer in the nation, with 22 points, draining four three-pointers, three of which were in the first half. She extended her double-digit scoring streak 37 games.
Michelle Curry contributed 15 points for the night and was just two rebounds away from a double-double. Curry has had double-digit points in nine of the last 10 games. Annelise Ito also added 15 points and tied with Simone DeCoud for the team-high four assists. Dynese Adams rounded out the top-scorers for the Highlanders with 10 points, shooting 50-percent from the floor.
The Matadors were led by Ashley Guay with 33 points, making good on 14-of-18 attempts from the field. Three other CSUN players scored in double-digits including Janae Sharpe, Emily Cole, and Camille Mahlknecht.
The Highlanders return to the SRC Thursday, March 5 taking on UC Davis at 7 pm PT for UC Riverside's Senior Night.
