Savannah Vilaubi Fires Under Par Score For Second Day In A Row At The Big West Championship

Riverside— The UC Riverside Women's Golf Team finishes day two of the Big West Championship in third place Monday afternoon (live stats).

The Highlanders fired a team total 301 for the second round of competition as they jumped from fourth to third. After two rounds they combine for 600, five strokes ahead of fourth place Long Beach State.

Three Highlanders remain in the top-20 including senior Savannah Vilaubi who has finished under par in both rounds, shooting a 71 yesterday and 70 today. She is just two strokes behind leader Anrea Wong from UC Davis. Freshman Hannah Facchini has moved up from 18th to a tie for 12th, firing a 75. Joining the top-finishers for the Highlanders was Haley Wian who is tied for 19th with a second round score of 78.

The Highlanders are back in action for the final round of the tournament Tuesday, April 21 starting at 8 am PT.
