Indian Wells, CA—The No. 5 seeded UC Riverside Men's Tennis Team concluded its 2015 season Thursday morning with a tough 4-0 loss to No. 4 seed Cal Poly in the first round of the Big West Conference Championship at Indian Wells Tennis Garden.
In doubles action, the Mustangs claimed the first point of the match with identical 6-2 wins at number one and number three.
In singles, Ben Donovan defeated Julian Ruffin, 6-0, 6-0 at number one. Corey Pang topped Cooper Bridge in a very intense 6-4, 6-2 matchup at number three . Cal Poly clinched the match when Naveen Beasley downed Sina Sharifi 6-0, 6-1.
The Highlanders conclude the season with a 4-16 record, Mustangs move on to play #1 seed UC Irvine on Friday, April 24 in the Big West Conference Semifinals.
