Bridge, Ngo Pick Up Singles Wins In 5-2 Loss To Binghamton

?Riverside—Cooper Bridge and Calvin Ngo picked up victories at number three and number six singles Thursday afternoon, but the UC Riverside Men's Tennis Team fell to visiting Binghamton, 5-2.

The Bearcats took the doubles point winning all three matches by scores of 6-2 (No. 1 Doubles), 6-1 (No. 2), and 6-3 (No. 3).

Bridge dropped his first singles set 6-4, but bounced back to win the next two sets by identical 6-3 scores. Ngo was a straight set winner (6-2, 7-6), and Luis Gastao nearly picked up another point for the Highlanders taking his first set at No. 2 singles, 7-6, before falling 6-1 and 6-3 in sets two and three. Sina Sharifi also battled his opponent at number five singles to three sets, winning the first 6-3, but he also dropped the final two sets, 6-2 and 6-3.

UC Riverside's next match is an April 18 Big West home tilt against UC Davis beginning at 11 a, PT
