Rancho Mirage—The UC Riverside Men's Tennis team fell, 5-2, to San Diego State in its first road match of the 2016 season. 

Freshman, Kyle McCann picked up his first win as a Highlander, and Sean Robles got his first victory on the season.

"We came out a little flat, but rebounded well against a top-40 team. Kyle's first career victory was impressive, Sean Robles fought hard for his win, and Calvin narrowly lost. There was a lot of improvement from the opening match.", said Coach Johansson.

UCR Men's Tennis' next match is Saturday January 23 against the University of Arizona in Tucson.
