In the opening weekend of the season, the squad dropped it's first two matches, 6-1, to Nevada and, 5-2, at San Diego State.

Calvin Ngo won 5-7, 6-3, 14-12 against Nevada for the first Highlander win of the year. Freshman, Kyle McCann picked up his first win of his career, and Sean Robles got his first victory on the season versus San Diego State.

The Wildcats (2-3) are playing in their first home match of the season after five matches on the road in an event in Texas. They feature the 52nd ranked player in the country in Naoki Takeda.

The match will start with doubles play at 11 am, with singles play to follow.
