Riverside, CA— The Highlanders (16-7, 9-0) were victorious in their first game adjusting to the loss of senior and all-around player Annelise Ito, who was lost for the season to a knee injury. They played inspired and routed Cal State Fullerton, 90-43, at Titan gym.(box score/recap)

It was a historic night for Brittany Crain, who become UCR's all-time leader in three point field goals, moved into second place on the all-time scoring list, established a new career-high and also connected on a career-high seven triples.

The team set a new defensive mark for the season, holding the Titans to just 43 points for the game—10 below the previous mark set on the road at UC Santa Barbara on January 9th. (box score/recap)

UCR matched their season-high with 27 assists, and eclipsed the school's record for margin of victory in a conference road win (30), also established at UCSB this year. Rejane Verin recorded her fifth double double of the season with 18 points, 10 rebounds and a career-high tying four blocks.

Akilah Martin matched her career-high with eight assists to along with her 16 points in the win.

The Highlanders, who now have just seven players available, rank 4th in the nation with 19.8 assists per game and lead the Big West in points per game (85.4,) field goal percentage (49.7), and commit the fewest turnovers a game (10.6).

UCR is on a 10 game winning streak, nine straight in conference, the best start to conference play since joining the Big West.

Cal Poly (11-12, 4-6) was defeated on Thursday night at UC Davis, 82-71. The Mustangs had three players score in double figures in the loss, Lisa Marie Sanchez (21), Lynn Leaupepe (17) and Dynn Leaupepe (16).

Hannah Gilbert had nine points to go along with 10 rebounds. Gilbert leads the Mustangs, averaging 13.4 points and 9.1 rebounds per game in Big West play.

In their first match-up, Crain topped the 2,000 point mark for her career in a, 93-83, home win. Crain poured in a game-high 27 points, and made timely jumpers that helped the Highlanders hold off a late charge from the Mustangs to remain a perfect in the Big West.(box score/recap)
