Softball Wins 11-1 Over Saint Peter's And 4-2 Against North Dakota In The Amy S Harrison Classic

Riverside—The UC Riverside Softball Team won both of their games Saturday in the Amy S. Harrison Classic.
In the first game of the day against Saint Peter's, the Highlanders mercy ruled the Peacocks, 11-1.Haley Harris connected on a grand slam in the thrid inning for her first homerun of the season. The homerun came in a breakout 11 run inning that would put the game of out reach for good.
Tayler Misfeldt pitched three innings of one run one hit ball to earn her seventh win of the 2016 campaign. Freshman Amanda Lynch pitched two scoreless frames to close out the game for the home team.
Harris' four RBI's led the offensive charge, followed by Stephanie Tickemyer with three and Erika Campbell's two.
In the second game of the day, UCR defeated North Dakota in, 4-2 to run their winning streak to three games in Amy S. Harrison Classic. Kaylynn Pierce picked up her third victory of the season in a seven inning complete game effort, where she allow two runs on two hits.
Natalie Sanchez knocked in two runs, Maddie Richard had two hits and stolen base in the victory. The Highlanders return to the diamond with a double header against San Diego, who is also 3-0 in the tournament.
