Birmingham, AL—UC Riverside's Vesta Bell and Breana Jemison made their way to Samford University yesterday in Birmingham, Alabama as they ready for this weekend's 2016 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships (

The duo are two of just three Big West Conference student-athletes at the meet. Bell is ranked fourth nationally in the Weight Throw with a top mark of 21.76m, and Jemison is 14th in the Shot Put with a top distance of 16.85m.
The Weight Throw is scheduled to begin Friday at 5:20 pm PT. There are 16 student-athletes competing, and after three throws, the top nine advance to the Finals.
