Men's Tennis Drops Big West Regular Season Finale, 7-0, To #47 UC Santa Barbara

Riverside—The UC Riverside Men's Tennis Team took on its second ranked opponent of the weekend in their Big West regular season finale Sunday. They were defeated, 7-0, by #47 UC Santa Barbara.

UCR's Kyle McCann played the most competitive singles match on the day, falling 6-4, 7-6 in the no. 3 match. Partnered with Hans Baumstark, McCann was narrowly defeated in the no. 3 doubles match, also 7-6.

The Gauchos came into the matchup on a three match winning streak and as one of three of the conferences unbeaten teams. They will take on UC Davis in a showdown of clubs atop the Big West Friday April 15th.

The Highlanders will honor their six seniors, Baumstark, Calvin Ngo, Sean Robles, Julian Ruffin, Marcus Vizcarra and Sean Yun before the match on Monday April 18 at 2:30 pm in the SRC Tennis Center against Lewis & Clark State.
