Women's Tennis Falls, 7-0, To #64 Long Beach State In Home Finale

Riverside—The UC Riverside Women's Tennis Team fell, 7-0, to #64 Long Beach State in the final home match of the 2016 season Thursday. It was also the final match on the SRC Tennis Courts for Highlander junior Caroline Hall.

Hall a junior college transfer, is graduating early with a degree in Psychology and plans to pursue a career in the medical field.

Head Women's Tennis Coach Mark Henry on Hall, "Caroline really is an outstanding student-athlete. She has been an important part of the team playing in the middle of the singles line-up the past two seasons and is our most outstanding student with a GPA over 3.9. I know she'll make UCR proud in the future as well."

UCR (3-13, 0-7) is off next week and will conclude conference play at UC Irvine April 20 at 1:30 pm.

Long Beach State (14-6, 7-0) remains atop the Big West standings. Today's win sets up a potential first place showdown next week with Cal State Fullerton, who is also unbeaten in conference play.
