Riverside—The UC Riverside Athletics Hall of Fame celebrates its next class of inductees on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at the Mission Inn in downtown Riverside, and nominations for the Class of 2017 are now being accepted.
Criteria for nomination, along with the nomination ballot,
are available in PDF form at gohighlanders.com. Nominations for the Class of 2017 must be received by September 15, 2016 to be considered for the April 2017 induction.
Launched in 1986, the UC Riverside Athletics Hall of Fame was created to recognize those student-athletes, coaches, teams, and contributors who have had a significant, positive contact with the University, and brought national recognition and honor to the University and its Athletics Department.
In 2015, the Highlanders inducted Otis Allmon (Men's Tennis, 1986-88), Sheri Benson-Rawlins (Volleyball, 1984, '86, '88-'89), Maurice Pullum (Men's Basketball, 1987-89), Fred Wallace (Football, 1956-59) and the 1977 National Championship Baseball Team (

That brought the total number of inductees in the UC Riverside Athletics Hall of Fame to 70 (
