Riverside–The UC Riverside Women's Tennis Team dropped a 6-1 decision to CSUN in their 2017 Big West opener at the SRC Tennis Center Saturday.

Karla Dulay had the lone point for the Highlanders dispatching Vivian Lin in straight sets in line two singles, 6-1, 6-0 for her first victory of the season.

The Matadors got off to a quick start claiming the double point with 6-1 victories on court 1 and 2, leaving Tamilla Vaksman and Natalie Penner's match versus CSUN's Kim/Roenholt unfinished.

The Highlanders will continue on in conference play next week when they travel to face Long Beach State on Saturday, February 4.
