
Women's Golf Finishes Third, Jakeishya Le Tied For Fifth At Wyoming Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate

Palm Desert, CA—The UC Riverside Women's Golf Team saved its best for last as the Highlanders posted their best round of the Wyoming Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate on Sunday to finish in third place. Jakeishya Le carded the third best score of the day with a 73, to finish in a tie for fifth in the chase for the individual tournament title.

TOURNAMENT NOTES
Jakeishya Le improved five spots on the last day of competition to post the eighth top-five finish of her career.
Julia Sander tied for 17th place, which is her fourth best finish ever.
Hana Furuichi shot a season-low 75 on the third day of the tournament.
Other Big West teams competing in the tournament were Cal State Fullerton, who came in fourth, and CSUN, who finished in eighth.
The Highlanders 25 birdies as a team were the third most of the tournament.
Jakeishya Le was three-under par on the Par 5s at the Classic Club golf course, which was the second best figure of the tournament.
Julia Sander was six-over par on the Par 4s at the Classic Club golf course, which was the third best figure of the tournament.
