Harris' 6 RBIs Power Softball To, 13-0, Victory Over Siena In The Amy S. Harrison Classic

Riverside–Haley Harris tied the Division I single-game RBI record in the Highlanders' 13-0 victory over Siena with six RBIs in UCR's first game of the Amy S. Harrison Classic Friday.

Harris went 3-4 at the plate, and was a homerun shy of hitting for the cycle. With UC Riverside leading 4-0 in the third inning, Harris stepped in the box with the bases loaded, and delivered a bases clearing triple down the left field line that scored Maddy Richard, Jenna Curtan, and Shylene Helms.

Tayler Misfeldt kept the Saints off balance all game long, and would hold Siena to just four hits, strikeout four, and not issue any free passes to first base in picking up her second win of the year..

In the fourth, Curtan had her turn with the bases juiced, and the junior from Roseville hit a shot to left center for a double that plated three more runs to break the game wide open 10-0.

Later that inning Harris came to bat with the bags filled with Highlanders, and for the second in the game she brought them all in, this time with a double to right.

Curtan would finish with four RBIs, and two runs scored. Hannah Rodriguez logged her first multi-hit game of the 2017 campaign with a 3-3 showing to go along with driving in two runs in the win.

Harris' career-high six RBIs tied the mark set by Brittney Keeney in 2009. (All-time DI single-game hitting records)

UC Riverside will play two tomorrow starting at 11:30 am against Utah State, followed by a battle with UTEP 30 after the conclusion of the game against the Aggies.
