Men's Golf 15th After Day One At The ASU Thunderbird Invitational

Tempe, AZ–The UC Riverside Men's Golf Team heads into tomorrow's final round in the ASU Thunderbird Invitational 15th after two rounds of play at the ASU Karsten Golf Club.
Sam Gillis holds the top team in a tie for 46 overall after shooting a one-over par 72, and two-over 73 in rounds one and two. Andrew Spilman's one-under 71 was the best round by any Highlanders on the day. He now sits tied for 57th after a second round 77.
Arizona State (-37) holds a commanding 19 shot lead over second place Colorado State, and is 21 clear UNLV in third. Chun Ahn Yu and Blake Wagoner share the individual lead at -13 after carding matching 67s, and 63s in the first and second round to propel the Sun Devils into the team lead.
In tomorrow's final round, UC Riverside is paired with fellow Big West conference teams Hawai'i and UC Irvine along with San Diego, which gets underway at 7:40 am off hole no. 10. (live scoring)
