Radford, VA–The UC Riverside Men's Tennis fell in a close 4-3 match to Radford in a battle of teams that share the Highlander name.

In doubles play, Radford claimed the point with victories on court one (6-3) and two (6-2).

Cooper Bridge got UCR on the board dispatching Alexandros Caldwell 6-2, 6-1 in line no. 1 singles. The Virginia based Highlanders then took the matches at line no. 4, 3, and 6 to secure the victory.

Kyle McCann and Gilbert Chung's line 2 and line 5 matches each went to three sets. McCann recovered from dropping set one, 2-6, to snag set two and three 6-3, 6-4.

Chung also had to battle back from being down a set to outlast Matko Varga 2-6, 7-6 (7-3), 6-2 in the no. 5 position.

The UC Riverside Highlanders return to North Carolina, Durham to face North Carolina Central Friday at 10 am PT in the spring trip finale.
