Riverside–The UC Riverside Women's Tennis Team hosts a pair of Big West matches this weekend at the SRC Tennis Center. The Highlanders will square off against the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos Friday, April 14 at 1:30 pm. Saturday, April 15 they'll entertain the Cal Poly Mustangs at 11 am.

 

UCR is coming off a 0-4 loss to LMU, which dropped them to 5-9 on the year. The Highlanders are looking to add to their already impressive win total which is the most since the 2010-2011 season.

 

Defending Big West Conference Champions, UC Santa Barbara comes into the match with an 11-9 record, 4-1 in conference play. Their last two matches were conference victories over UC Irvine and Cal State Fullerton by the scores of 4-0 and 4-1. Last year the Gauchos defeated the Highlanders 7-0 in Santa Barbara.

 

Cal Poly is coming into the match with a 3-12 overall record and a 1-4 mark in conference play. Their last match was a 3-4 defeat to Cal State Fullerton on their senior day and last home match of the year. Last year the Mustangs defeated the Highlanders, 6-1, in San Luis Obispo.
