Riverside–The UC Riverside Women's Tennis Team was edged, 4-3, at home by Cal Poly Saturday.

The Mustangs (4-12) picked up a 6-3 victory in line two doubles, before eking out a, 7-6, victory in no. 1 doubles to take the doubles point. The no. 3 doubles match did not occur, as Cal Poly did not have a tandem for the match.

UC Riverside's (5-11) Tracy Van prevailed in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3, in her line two singles match against Seriana Saltzen. Tamilla Vaksman outlasted Abigail Bacharan, 5-7, 6-4, 10-4 in her no. 5 position match.

Natalie Penner's no. 6 doubles match against Claire Bouquet was forfeited by Cal Poly just before the match got underway. The Mustangs got straight sets victories in line 1, 2 & 4 matches to outpoint the Highlanders, 4-3, for the win.

The UC Riverside Women's Tennis Team will recognize its seniors before the Thursday, April 20 match against UC Irvine at 1:30 pm.
