Men's Tennis Falls, 7-0, In Road Finale At #48 UCSB

Santa Barbara–The UC Riverside Men's Tennis Team fell, 7-0, to #48 UC Santa Barbara in Big West Conference play.

The Easter Sunday morning match was the 2017 road finale for the Highlanders, who played 18 matches away from the SRC Tennis Courts this season. The team went 5-13 (.386) in those matches compared to 3-9 (.250) last season.

Kyle McCann and Max Cohen picked up the lone victory for UCR in their line three doubles match over the Gauchos' Rakela and Prior, 6-4. However, UCSB prevailed in the no. 1 and no. 2 matches to take the doubles point.

The hosts then swept the singles matches in straight sets en route to a, 7-0, victory.

UCR will conclude the regular season next week with a pair of Big West home matches. Friday, April 12 they host UC Davis at 12 pm, and Sunday, April 23 they will play the final match on the SRC Courts this season at 11 am versus Hawai'i.
