After heading into the half with a slight 31-29 advantage, UCR was outscored by the Rainbow Wahine 21-9 in the third quarter.
Hawaii would lead by as many as 12 points in the fourth, before a late Highlander run capped by a Tianna Eaton jumper made it a one possession game, 60-57, with 17 seconds to go. However, that would be the last UCR bucket of the night as the Rainbow Wahine iced the game at the free throw line.
