LONG BEACH, Calif.— After a successful opening round at the CSUN Fall Invitational, the UC Riverside Women's Tennis Team earned another five wins on the 2nd day of competition.
Due to air quality from local fires, the 2nd day of competition was moved to Long Beach State and the final day was canceled.
On the singles side, sophomore Tia Elpusan earned a three set victory and both senior Tracy Van and sophomore Tammy Van won each set they played.
In doubles play the Highlanders came away with another two wins as the team of Tracy Van and Natalie Shamma dominated in its final matchup and the duo Elpusan and junior Sara Khattab edged out the competition to end the tournament on a high note.
