SACRAMENTO STATE
The Highlanders opened up the final day of the tournament with their 5th straight win defeating the Sacramento State Hornets 7-1.

Sophomore Emma Ramelot was next to bat hitting a sacrifice fly to left field that was deep enough for Seanna Garewal to tag and score. Up 2-0 with 2 outs, senior Chelsey Holley would bring in Curtan from 3rd on a two-bagger to left-center. Junior Brittney Garcia would finish off the inning with and single to right field to drive in Holley and give the Highlanders a 4-0 lead.

UCR would pick right back up in the 4th inning scoring a run on another RBI double from Jenna Curtan to extend the team's lead 5-0.

In the top of the 5th the Highlanders would score for the 3rd straight inning. With 1 out and the bases loaded, Danielle Ortega singled straight through the middle to drive in sophomore Sarah Parten from 3rd and keep the bases loaded. 1 out later, Curtan would draw a walk to grab her 3rd RBI of the game and a 7-0 lead over the Hornets.

CSUS would get on the board in the bottom of the 6th scoring 1 run to make the final score a 7-1 Highlander victory.

CAL
UC Riverside struggled in the 1st inning as the Golden Bears scored 2 runs but senior pitcher Tayler Misfeldt (3-2) would halt Cal by getting two straight outs with the bases loaded.

Down 10-0, the Highlanders would get on the board as Sarah Parten crushed a 3-run homer down the left line to cut the score 10-3.
