FINAL RESULTS

Riverside, Calif. — The UC Riverside Women's Tennis Team (1-8) fell 7-0 to the Nevada Wolf Pack (2-3) at home Thursday afternoon. 

The Highlanders had some success in the doubles round as the duo of freshman Tia Elpusan and sophomore Sara Khattab took home a victory for UCR. The two Highlanders defeated the Wolf Pack team of Adriana Gergelyova and Melissa Huchet 6-4 on court two.

UCR fought hard in the singles round as two matches went to three sets. Redshirt Junior Chloe Pham had an exciting match on court four as she dropped the first set 3-6, but dominated 6-2 in the second set to force a ten-point tie breaker. Nevada would end up taking the breaker 10-5 to finish the match.

The Highlanders will hit the road this weekend for a Big West matchup with UC Santa Barbara. The match with the Gauchos is set to start at 2:00 PM this Saturday in Santa Barbara, CA.
