COLORADO STATE PUEBLO
UC Riverside ended the weekend road trip on a high note as they downed the Thunder Wolves 5-2.

It was a shaky start for the Highlanders as they dropped the doubles point, despite a 6-4 victory on court three from the duo of Nabil Abdallah and junior Anderson Ju.

Down 1-0, Abdallah and freshman Benjamin Kilchherr would both sweep their opponents on courts three and four, respectively, to give UCR a 2-1 lead. Abdallah only dropped two games in his match winning 6-2, 6-0, while Kilchherr fought hard in the first set of a 7-5, 6-0 win.

UCR would clinch the dual match on court six as sophomore Gibert Chung defeated his opponent 6-3, 6-1. The Highlanders would wrap up the match and the road trip with a 6-0, 6-2 win on court five, from Filip Engstrom, that gave UC Riverside the 5-2 overall win.
