ANN ARBOR, Mich.— The UC Riverside Men's Soccer team began its mid-west road trip falling to Michigan 3-0 Friday night.
The Highlanders kept the Wolverines scoreless for much of the 1st half before the host team added a pair of goals to take a 2-0 lead into halftime. Michigan would add one more early in the 2nd to take the match 3-0.

Edward Benito registered shots for the Highlanders, but the Wolverines' defense held strong to become the only team to shutout UCR this year.
Junior goalkeeper
Edwyn Gutierrez added three saves on the day between the posts for the Highlanders.
UC Riverside will look for its first win on the road at East Lansing Monday morning as the Highlanders will face Michigan State at 10:00 AM.
