POCATELLO, ID.— The UC Riverside Women's Volleyball Team (4-2) finished out the Idaho State Invitational Saturday morning taking its only loss of the tournament to Boise State (4-0) 3-0.

The overall score of the matchup with the Broncos is not indicative how close the contest was through all three sets as both teams battled and traded points. The Highlanders would eventually fall 18-21-22, making each set tougher than the last for Boise State. UCR was able to find some points with its serve in the final set registering four of its six aces in the 3rd.

UCR shared the ball on te attack as five different players notched multiple kills on the day. 

Senior setter Chelsea Doyle was a bright spot for the Highlanders getting it done on both ends with a team-best 19 assists and 12 digs.

Following the match, senior Kaiulani Ahuna and sophomore Yuliya Ushakova were named to the all-tournament team.

The Highlanders will now head to Northern California next weekend for the Sacramento State Tournament, where the team will face Seattle, host Sacramento State, and Nevada.
