RIVERSIDE, Calif.— This weekend will mark the end tournament play for the UC Riverside Women's Volleyball Team (4-5) as the Highlanders will head to Fullerton, CA for the Titan Tournament. UCR will have a pair of matches as the team is set to face Idaho on Friday night at 5 PM and San Francisco Saturday morning at 11 AM.

SCOUTING THE COMPETITION
The Vandals enter the weekend with a 5-4 record after going 1-2 in the Rainbow Wahine Volleyball Challenge last weekend. The Highlanders have yet to defeat Idaho and this will be the two teams' first matchup since 2008.
The Dons come into the tournament even at 4-4 and currently ride a two match win streak taking their last two matchups in five sets. UCR and USF have split its six previous matchups 3-3 dating all the way back to 1984. The Highlanders took the most recent meeting between the two schools 3-2 in September of 2016.

BIG WEST BEWARE
The Highlanders currently hold the Big West's 3rd best opponent hitting percentage (.176) and rank 2nd in the conference in digs p/set (16.84). UCR also tops the charts on the individual end as senior Kaiulani Ahuna ranks 2nd in kills p/set (5.23) and senior Chelsea Doyle comes in at 3rd in assists p/set (9.56).
KAI DON'T LIE
Senior outside hitter Kaiulani Ahuna has been nothing short of spectacular so far in the 2018 season. Opening weekend, Ahuna broke two program records notching 30 kills (Rally-Scoring Era Record) in a win over Montana and then smashing 33 more (DI Record) on Eastern Washington to become the first Highlander to ever put up 30+ on back-to-back days. Following this weekend, Ahuna led the NCAA in total kills and kills p/set and was awarded Player of the Week Awards from the Big West Conference, VolleyMob, and the AVCA.
Her 5.23 kills p/set average currently ranks 4th in the nation and her 162 total kills rank 15th.
SWEEPING AWAY THE COMPETITION
The Highlanders have earned two of their four wins in sweeping fashion topping both UMASS Lowell and Idaho State 3-0.
