Women’s Golf Caps Off Fall Schedule at Vegas Showdown

LAS VEGAS – The UC Riverside women's golf team finished up their fall portion of their schedule at the Las Vegas Showdown tournament hosted by UNLV. The Highlanders weren't able to string together low-scoring rounds as they placed in 18^th for the tournament.

Freshman Nicole Le was the low scorer for the Highlanders as she shot +14 (230) on the tournament which was good for tied for 48^th place. Le finished strong as she shot a 74 (+2) in the final round of the tournament which was also the best round by any Highlander in the tournament.

One of the other lone bright spots for UCR was freshman Jennifer Deng finished in the top-15 in par 5 scoring as she shot -3 with an average of 4.75 on the long scoring holes.

Riverside will come back from their winter break and host the Battle at the Rock which will be played at the Oak Quarry Golf Club in Riverside, California from February 10-11.
