Jakeishya Le Named to 1st Team All-Big West

MOORPARK, Calif. – On a day that saw the UC Riverside Women's golf team struggle in the Big West Conference tournament final round, they saw one of their seniors named to the Big West 1^st team. Senior Jakeishya Le was the lone bright spot for the Highlanders in the third and final round of the tournament.

Le finished the tournament in sole possession of fifth place shooting +6 (222) through the three rounds of tournament play. She moved up six spots in the standings to finish in fifth as she had the second best round out of all competitors as she shot one under par in the final round. Only the eventual winner, Haley Tygret of Long Beach, had a better final round.

The Highlanders as a collective group finished tied for fifth with two other schools. The team finished with the second best scoring on par 5 holes.

Sophomore Ping Huang finished tied for eighth as she shot +8 (224) on the tournament. Huang and Le both finished in the top four in par 5 scoring as the both shot -1 on all par 5 holes throughout the tournament. Le also finished top four in par 4 scoring as well at +4.

The Highlanders finished the season playing well and ended on a high note with Le coming out as a first team performer.
